Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell

My job transferred me to New York last year, and my family was really bummed that we had to leave our home in Atlanta. I knew we had to go because it was such a great opportunity for me, and I knew the kids would get used to it. When we were choosing a house I looked up New York Electricity Rates so that I could gauge what our expenses would be each month. I found that I could actually shop around for the best rates, which I found really interesting. It’s great how our country is moving towards more choices when it comes to utilities. I remember the days when you had one choice, and that was it. Now I can choose which company I want to go to when it comes to internet, phone, cable, and electricity. I think it’s awesome because now my business is not a given to them. These companies have to stay competitive in order to keep me coming back and I think this will keep prices lower and service better. I don’t understand why we get a choice for every other service we buy for our families but we didn’t for utilities for so long. I think this was a much needed change.
