I just got an email from HomeSECURITYSystems.com with a list of all their specials and services they have going on right now. I’d like to consider doing that for our home. To me, it is an investment in peace of mind. The other thing I’d like to do is install those energy efficient windows in all the windows in the house. Similar to the alarm system I want to get, I think the windows would be an investment. Sure, it costs some money, but think of how much it will save us in the long run. If an alarm prevents a robbery, it will more than pay itself off. The windows, I just learned from our accountant, are tax deductable, because they are energy efficient. So, with that, we will save some money right off the bat. Also, the guys at the window store were telling us how much the windows save in heating and cooling bills every month. It was amazing the difference! I think investments like these in our home are wise.

I am so glad that I did too. I called my power company and told them that I wanted to switch so that I could save each month. They said all I had to do was go online to their website and set up a profile using my account number. I did what they said and setting up online billing was so easy. Every month they just email me my bill and then I can go to their website and pay the bill. I also enrolled in automatic payment, so that I will never be late paying my bill. I wish I had known about online bill pay a long time ago. I could have saved a lot of money by now.

Gas savings translate into money in your pocket as well as lower dependence on foreign oil and lower carbon emissions. Here are a couple of ways you can save gas on your next trip.

Leave 15 minutes early. Leaving early lessens your tendency to speed and make jack rabbit starts as well lowering the chance of potential accidents.

Try to avoid times highways are more congested. Between the hours or 7-9am and 4-6pm can be the busiest times because of workers commuting to and from work. Try to avoid these times to travel if at all possible as being stuck in traffic can be aggravating as well as use a lot more gas.
