Take a Warm Vacation
Feb 18th
This is a sponsored post
This winter has not been extremely cold in the US, it truly has been a very mild winter. That is good news but if you are like me I am tired of winter time and having to stay in the house. I was trying to think of somewhere to go, to get away from it all, for a while and Hawaii came to mind. Hawaii is beautiful anytime of the year with its clear blue water, warm sandy beaches and festivity everywhere.
I started searching online for places to go in Hawaii and Kauai looked like fun. More >
Taking the kids to see Billy Elliot on tour
Feb 4th
Guest post written by Carol Brighton
It’s a little funny how when I talk about my kids, I’m referring to my twenty something grown children. But I guess that it’s just a habit to keep on calling them your kids no matter what. When they were younger, it used to be like pulling teeth to get them to go to museums or go and see plays. But now they suggest going and doing that stuff all of the time. p>
My daughter let me know a while back that Billy Elliot was going to be touring near us, so we decided that More >
Having a Choice
Jan 2nd
Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell
My job transferred me to New York last year, and my family was really bummed that we had to leave our home in Atlanta. I knew we had to go because it was such a great opportunity for me, and I knew the kids would get used to it. When we were choosing a house I looked up New York Electricity Rates so that I could gauge what our expenses would be each month. I found that I could actually shop around for the best rates, which I found really interesting. It’s great how our More >
Do Not Forget Your Meds
Dec 13th
As we age it seems as if we have to take more and more medications. It is hard to get around this fact even if you live a healthy lifestyle and take care of yourself. Some meds may be able to be skipped, if you must, while others should not be. Knowing this is very important if you plan to take your medications with you when you travel. It is important to plan ahead and have your medications filled when planning your trip. This is especially true if you are traveling around the holidays as many pharmacies may be closed More >
Preparing for Holiday Travel
Dec 2nd
The Christmas and New Year holidays are just around corner which means a lot of people will be traveling to see friends and family. If you are planning to travel during the holidays by automobile then it is time to get it prepared before leaving for your trip. Make sure your automobile is in good working order and have normal maintenance completed before you leave. It is a good idea to change the oil and oil filter as well as having the engine tuned up. Make sure your tires are inflated to the proper pressure recommended by the manufacturer.

Can You See Where You Going
Oct 31st
Before you start off on a long trip make sure you are able to see to drive. Most people do not think much about their vision until they get to the point they absolutely cannot see. This can be a factor especially when driving. If you have a hard time seeing to drive at night or cannot read the road signs during the day it is time to have your vision checked. This is especially true if you are restricted to wearing prescription eyeglasses to drive. If your eyeglass prescription is not up to date then you may have a hard More >
Nanny
Jul 24th
Post contributed by Leonard Phelps
I am a live-in nanny for one of the most spoiled families that I’ve ever met. It is disgusting watching how the mom and dad interact with their kids. If one of the kids wants something, their parents don’t even ask any questions- they just buy it for them! In my AP psychology class, my professor talked about how working parents feel guilty for not being able to stay at home with their kids, and so sometimes buy them things to ease the guilt of never really being there for them. I think that this family is More >

Who doesn’t love Sex and the City? All of the women on this show are pure fabulous, get any guy they want, and have wardrobes to die for. Whenever I’m feeling a little blue, I simply watch this show and pick myself right back up. This show makes me feel empowered and confidant as a woman. I love watching it on my Direct TV DVR Deals in Maryland any time I get a chance.
There are so many reasons to watch this show. First off, any woman who wants to get a great wardrobe should More >
Green Travel Printing
Mar 26th
If you are like most people you may like to carry your laptop as you travel. Sometimes just having your laptop with you is not enough; you may need to actually print what you view. It may be discount coupons for travel such as gas, food, lodging or events that need to be printed in order to be taken to the store to be redeemed. Having a printer with you can be convenient as well as saving money. There are several ways to carry your printer along with your laptop and still remain eco-friendly.

Spending The Holidays With Family
Mar 22nd
Posted by Heriberto Fuentes
Every year my family has a Christmas party; we hold it early so that everyone can spend the holidays at home with their kids. This way we can see all of our extended family and exchange gifts during the holidays.
For us it takes about 2 hours to drive there and we usually stay with my parents for the weekend. Dinner is potluck and everyone who comes contributes to the meal. I miss spending Christmas day with my family, but I am happy to see them for the party.
